Walking slowly and passing through terraced farms we reach Machhapuchare base camp. Some of the best of Nepal's diversity is compressed into less than two weeks of walking. The huge south face of Annapurna (8090 m.) provides an impressive backdrop, while the closeness of 10 peaks over 6000 m. inspires a joy as a fitting highlight of this spectacular trek. With its superb views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli, it is a great place to spend a day or two. We return to Phedi and catch our vehicle for Pokhara. This area is well developed with lodge facilities.

After breakfast, keep full day valley sightseeing with Kathmandu Durbar Square, the place of the Malla and then the Shah Kings of Nepal, visiting Kumari Temple, house of the virgin goddess, visiting Swoyambhunath, a stupa on the top of hill - from here you can overlook the scenery of Kathmandu, Visiting Patan city, the second largest town in the valley, Krishna Mandir, Golden Temple etc.

After breakfast, scenic drive or fly to Pokhara. Afternoon, walk around Lake city. Early evening, Trek briefing and final preparation.

After breakfast, drive to Nayapul (trail foot) and begin the trek to Birethanti, a prosperous riverside village on the Modi Khola. Walk upstream through terraced paddy fields to Syauli Bazaar, then cross the suspension bridge and ascend, with breathtaking views of mountains and climb to the beautiful Ghandruk village.

This trail follows descends down to Kimrong stream through the forest of rhododendron. We then walk towards Chhomrong crossing through the village of Gurung. Chhomrong offers you close views of Mt. Annapurna south and Hiun Chuli and Mt. Fishtail.

After breakfast, the trail drops to cross the Chhomrong Khola and then ascends to the charming village of Sinuwa. Thereafter the trail enters the upper Modi Khola Valley through dense forests of cane, rhododendron and oak. It rises then drops to the village of Bamboo (2,310m/7,580ft) on the banks of the river: a prefect lunch spot. After lunch, continue up through uninhabited forest to Dovan,

Early morning ascent for a stunning sunrise and breakfast, the journey returns to Sinuwa. Descend a long, stone staircase through bamboo and rhododendrons forests to Kuldi. The trek continues through beautiful rhododendron forests and down to Sinuwa

From Sinuwa, the trail leads downhill to the Modi Khola, closing the day Back to Landrung with the remembrance of Annapurna south and the giant Himalayan peaks.

The trails enters the narrow wooded valley of the Modi Khola and take us through the village of Dhampus. Trek down to Phedi and half an hour car drive to Pokhara.
